South Carolina adds another grad transfer from Colorado State, this time a fullback
South Carolina will add another grad transfer from the Colorado State football program.
CSU fullback Adam Prentice announced on his Instagram page Monday that he will finish his college career at South Carolina. Prentice’s news follows teammate and S.C. native Collin Hill, who announced Saturday he would finish his career with the Gamecocks.
Prentice and Hill are familiar with new USC offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, who was the head coach at CSU and recruited both players.
“After lots of prayer and conversations with my family and mentors, I have decided to finish my collegiate career at the University of South Carolina,” he posted on Instagram. “I’m excited to see what this new opportunity brings! Can’t wait to get started in January. SPURS UP!”
The 6-foot, 236-pound California native appeared in all 12 games this season and had seven catches for 44 yards. Prentice was one of the Rams’ team captains in 2018 and finished with 62 yards on the ground. For his career, he has 18 catches for 115 yards and 18 carries for 65 yards.
Prentice, a former walk-on who later earned a scholarship, was regarded as one of the Rams’ hardest workers and leaders. He was CSU’s 2018 nominee for the Allstate/AFCA Good Works Team for community involvement.
