Watch South Carolina’s football staff go nuts when Jordan Burch committed

South Carolina football had to hold onto this moment for a while before it could be released to the world.

Back in December, a gathering of coaches and Gamecocks football staffers took in five star defensive lineman Jordan Burch’s commitment ceremony on ESPN together. They piled into one of the team’s meeting rooms and watched the ESPN feed as their most heavily recruited target made his pledge to the program.

And then they had to hold onto the celebration video below.

The school shot the reaction of coaches and staffers, likely hoping to publish it later on that December day when Burch, the No. 8 recruit in the country, signed with the program. Instead he didn’t sign that day, or that month.

His process dragged on, through the start of the second signing period and Wednesday’s national signing day.

Finally, on Thursday evening, his paperwork made it in, and he officially became a Gamecock. With that, South Carolina’s celebration could see the light of day.
