South Carolina’s football team is scheduled to have nine more spring practices and a spring game on the schedule.

But the four scheduled for next week will not be held.

The school announced it the day the SEC men’s basketball tournament was canceled and a day after the NBA suspended its season because of coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. Soon after that, the school announced spring practice was delayed “until further notice.”

The school’s pro day March 19 was also canceled.

The school had already extended spring break an extra week and encouraged students to not return to campus until the start of April.

The Gamecocks were five practices in and had this week off for spring break.

Georgia will continue its spring practice. Off-campus has also been suspended by the NCAA.
