Where South Carolina ranks in how many football offers it hands out
This time of year, college football coaching staff’s such as South Carolina’s are often out on the road, seeing talent and handing out offers.
The coronavirus pandemic wiped out their travel, but it didn’t stop the offers.
Blair Sanderson of Rivals tallied up the 2021 offer totals for every Power 5 program. The Gamecocks were a middle-tier team on that front, coming in tied for 30th with 221 offers at that point.
Nebraska and Tennessee lead the way with 392 offers. The SEC totals and rankings are as follows:

The Gamecocks currently only have six commits, one four-star. They had the No. 18 class in the country last season.
South Carolina’s rival, Clemson, has put out the second-fewest offers in the country with 69.
Looking ahead to 2022 Sanderson has USC at 24th nationally with 80 offers.
