2 USC players to miss most of summer. Gamecocks receiver tore ACL in spring

Two Gamecocks will miss the majority of the offseason going forward after injuries suffered in the spring.

South Carolina football coach Will Muschamp on Monday announced that wide receiver Chad Terrell suffered a torn ACL during the spring, which will keep him out for a while. Linebacker Rosendo Louis had surgery on his quad.

Muschamp said he expects both players will be ready by the start of September.

Terrell tore his other ACL in the spring of 2018 but came back to play in four games that season. He has seven career catches for 76 career yards.

Louis was projected to be a contributor heading into the 2018 season, but his snaps dwindled as the season went on. He ended up playing in four games last season and took a redshirt.

The Gamecocks held their first voluntary workout of June on Monday.
