TV channel, kickoff time set for South Carolina home game vs Florida
South Carolina football can catch its breath during the bye week before hosting SEC East foe Florida Gators on Nov. 6.
The Gamecocks play the Gators on Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Williams-Brice Stadium, the SEC announced Monday. The game will be televised by SEC Network.
Florida carries the all-time series 29-9-3 against South Carolina, with the Gators winning five of the last six matchups. The Gamecocks last beat an ailing Florida, 28-20, in 2017, two weeks after the Gators fired head coach Jim McElwain.
Florida defeated South Carolina 38-24 last year in Gainesville, though running back Kevin Harris did total 100 yards in The Swamp.
South Carolina made it through its first eight games with a 4-4 record and one SEC win, a narrow victory over Vanderbilt. Florida will travel to Columbia after its annual meeting with Georgia in Jacksonville, but the 4-3 Gators have already dropped three conference games of their own against Alabama, Kentucky and LSU.
