The rivalry game is back.

The kickoff time for the 2021 Clemson vs South Carolina game is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 on SEC Network, it was announced Monday.

The annual Palmetto Bowl game took a one-year hiatus in 2020 with the SEC only playing conference games in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first time in 111 years that South Carolina and Clemson did not play each other in football. The USC-Clemson football series dates back to 1896, with both teams playing annually since 1909.

Now back on, the Tigers travel to Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia for the regular-season finale against the Gamecocks. Clemson leads the overall series 71-42-4 and has won the past six meetings.

This will be the first time since 2004 that the game isn’t broadcast on either ESPN or ESPN2. Jefferson Pilot Sports (now Raycom) was the network for that 2004 game played at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium.

In 2019, the Tigers posted a 38-3 victory in a game that was played in Columbia.

Clemson (7-3) first plays Wake Forest at noon this Saturday, while South Carolina (5-5) hosts Auburn at 7 p.m.
