Watch: South Carolina’s Shane Beamer covered in mayonnaise after Duke’s Mayo Bowl win

Shane Beamer had already declared that he wasn’t really a mayonnaise guy.

But South Carolina’s first-year head football coach was dumped with mayonnaise Thursday at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium after a 38-21 win in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. USC finished the year 7-6 overall.

“It was even more awful than what I thought it would be,” he joked after the game. “I got mayo in my pockets. I’ll be getting mayo off me for months.”
