Nick Saban is reportedly adding another former South Carolina coach to his staff at Alabama.

Former Gamecocks offensive line coach Eric Wolford will be the Crimson Tide’s new offensive line coach. ESPN’s Chris Low first reported the news and other outlets confirmed the news Monday.

Wolford will replace Doug Marrone, who is expected to go back to the NFL. He will be the third former Gamecock on staff, joining Travaris Robinson and Coleman Hutzler.

Wolford spent last season as Kentucky’s offensive line coach after he wasn’t retained by new South Carolina coach Shane Beamer. The Ohio native coached the offensive line at USC on two different occasions, in 2009, under Steve Spurrier and then from 2017-2020 under Will Muschamp.

Wolford left USC the first time to be head coach at Youngstown State where he was until 2014 before going to the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers.
