One of the top recruits in the state of South Carolina will make his college commitment soon.
Camden High School defensive line prospect Xzavier McLeod is set to announce his decision at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bulldogs’ Zemp Stadium. The event will be streamed live on YouTube via 247Sports.
The 6-foot-4 McLeod ranks 25th among all defensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite. The four-star recruit will begin his senior season when Camden hosts Myrtle Beach on Friday.
He will make his college commitment from USC, Georgia, Michigan and Florida on Thursday. It’s expected he’ll reveal the choice by picking one of four hats from a table.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions are 100% for McLeod picking the South Carolina. Steve Wiltfong, 247Sports’ director of football recruiting, entered a pick for the Gamecocks on Thursday.
Adam Friedman, Rivals national recruiting analyst, also made a prediction Thursday for South Carolina to land McLeod.
Most of the On3Sports projections are for McLeod to the Gamecocks.
McLeod ranks No. 172 among all national prospects, according to the 247Sports Composite that factors in all networks. He recorded 58 tackles, five sacks and two forced fumbles during his junior year.
