South Carolina got off to a hot start against Texas A&M on Saturday and didn’t even need its offense to do so.

Xavier Legette took the opening kickoff 100 yards to the endzone, giving the Gamecocks an early lead on Texas A&M.

Legette ran the ball up the sideline while evading Aggie defenders, and kept himself in bounds to score.

The kickoff return was the second longest in school history to Sterling Sharpe’s 104-yard return in 1985.

USC has not beaten the Aggies in the team’s eight meetings.
