TV channel, kickoff time set for South Carolina’s SEC game against Vanderbilt

South Carolina will get back on the road after homecoming with a trip to Nashville to face off against Vanderbilt.

The Gamecocks play the Commodores at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at FirstBank Stadium, the SEC announced Monday. The game will be televised by SEC Network.

South Carolina dominates the all-time series 27-4.

USC (5-2, 2-2 SEC) defeated Texas A&M for the first time last week and will host Missouri this Saturday. Vanderbilt (3-5, 0-4 SEC) just lost to the Mizzou on the road and will face South Carolina after its bye week.

  • Tennessee vs. Georgia, 3:30 p.m., CBS

  • Liberty vs. Arkansas, 4 p.m., SEC Network

  • South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt, 7:30 p.m., SEC Network

Rush, Legette earn SEC Player of the Week honors

Darius Rush and Xavier Legette were named SEC players of the week after their efforts in South Carolina’s win over Texas A&M.

Rush was recognized as the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Week with a game-high eight tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and a pass breakup.

Legette was named the SEC’s Special Teams Player of the Week after his game-opening 100-yard kick return for a touchdown. He also added a key tackle on kickoff coverage late in the game.
