One of South Carolina’s biggest name transfers from last cycle is on the move again.

Tight end Austin Stogner has re-entered the portal as a graduate transfer, a South Carolina spokesperson confirmed to The State.

The Athletic’s Max Olson first reported the news.

Stogner came to South Carolina as part of the ballyhooed tandem of ex-Oklahoma players that included quarterback Spencer Rattler.

The Texas native caught 20 passes for 210 yards and one touchdown during his one season in Columbia as he split time with Jaheim Bell and Nate Adkins. Stogner started 10 of 12 games this fall.

Stogner is eligible to transfer again without having to sit out as he finished his undergraduate course work and qualifies as a graduate transfer.

The NCAA transfer portal underwent changes this offseason and now includes two windows in which undergraduate players are able to enter. The first window opened on Monday and will last until Jan. 18. A second window will be open between May 1 and May 15.

South Carolina had three scholarship players enter the transfer portal on Monday — Stogner, linebacker Darryle Ware and defensive back Joey Hunter. Walk-on defensive back Cam Hardy has also entered the portal.
