South Carolina transfer Jaheim Bell announces commitment to ACC team
Former South Carolina tight end Jaheim Bell is headed to the ACC.
Bell on Monday announced a commitment to the Florida State Seminoles, he announced on Twitter. He thanked his fans and his coaches in the 45-second video he posted.
Bell caught 56 passes for 757 yards and seven touchdowns in 30 games as a Gamecock. He spent a lot of time as a running back this year as well, with 73 attempts for 261 yards and three scores on the ground.
He announced his decision to enter the transfer portal last Monday. Bell is from Lake City, Florida, about an hour and 45 minutes from the FSU campus.
“I will be taking my talents back to the crib,” Bell said in the video. “Go ‘Noles.”
Florida State finished the season 9-3 and earned a trip to the Cheez-it Bowl against Oklahoma. The Seminoles were No. 13 in the final College Football Playoff rankings.
