Shane Beamer has made another offseason hire.

South Carolina is elevating offensive analyst Lonnie Teasley to its full-time offensive line coach, replacing incumbent Greg Adkins, the school announced Friday.

Teasley previously served in the role on an interim basis after Adkins suffered through undisclosed health issues earlier this year and for the second time in as many seasons in Columbia.

“Lonnie did a great job stepping in for and working alongside Greg with the offensive line this past season,” Beamer said in a news release. “He was instrumental in the offensive line’s improvement and is a fantastic recruiter as well.”

The South Carolina board of trustees approved Teasley’s contract on Friday, which will pay him $410,000 annually over the course of the two-year deal.

Adkins was previously among the higher-paid coaches on the Gamecocks’ staff, with an annual salary of $550,000 and a handful of built-in incentives.

Teasley just wrapped up his second season in Columbia following spells at Delaware State, Temple, Tennessee Tech, Arkansas Pine-Bluff and North Carolina Central. He also spent two years working for the Baltimore Ravens.

South Carolina also approved raises and contract extensions for Beamer and assistant coaches Clayton White (defensive coordinator), Torrian Gray (defensive backs), Jimmy Lindsey (defensive line), Sterling Lucas (defensive ends) and Montario Hardesty (running backs) on Friday.

Gray was entering the final year of a three-year deal with built-in escalators that raised his pay from $350,000 his first year on staff in 2021 to $500,000 this year. His new contract will be a two-year deal that pays $675,000 in Year 1 and $700,000 in Year 2, making him the highest-paid non-coordinator on the staff.

The former Virginia Tech defensive back had been rumored to be a candidate for the cornerbacks opening at Florida State but appears likely to stay at South Carolina.

Special teams coordinator Pete Lembo previously received a raise in December that included a one-year extension and a $260,000 bump in annual salary to $725,000.
