What were the best, silliest and most common questions asked of South Carolina’s Pharoh Cooper, Elliott Fry and Skai Moore at SEC Media Days?
We asked the Gamecocks trio after their three-hour commitment in Hoover, Ala., wrapped up:
Elliott Fry, junior kicker
▪ MOST COMMON QUESTION: “Probably, ‘What do you think the team is going to be like next year. How are you going to do?’ ”
▪ SILLIEST QUESTION: “I always think it’s funny when they ask kickers about other teams. We have no idea. I just kick the ball.”
▪ BEST QUESTION/ANSWER: “Someone asked me to do an impersonation of a gamecock crowing. I thought I did pretty good. There’s already a video about it on Vine, so that’s good.”
Pharoh Cooper, junior receiver
▪ MOST COMMON QUESTION: “Our quarterback situation. I was probably asked that in every room I’ve been in.” (His common answer: “That’s the coaches’ call. I like all the quarterbacks and they throw the ball pretty well.”)
▪ SILLIEST QUESTION: “About the Twitter handle (@KingTutt_chdown), how I got my name and American Pharoah the horse.”
▪ BEST QUESTION/ANSWER: “I did talk about following Plies on Instagram. I was asked who my favorite person is to follow in Instagram. It’s Plies. He's a rapper.
Skai Moore, junior linebacker
▪ MOST COMMON QUESTION: “Just questions about the defense. That’s the main thing I’ve heard the most, just asking what’s new and what’s different.” (His common answer: “Intensity, more effort and finishing.”)
▪ SILLIEST QUESTION: “They asked me what type of emoji I would be if I would choose to be an emoji. (His answer: the sarcastic face emoji.)
▪ BEST QUESTION/ANSWER: “I was asked what I would stock my fridge up with the new stipends. I’m a seafood guy. I said I would definitely stock it up with seafood and crab legs.”
