USC football transfer O’Mega Blake staying in Carolinas for next college stop

South Carolina lost a handful of wide receivers to the transfer portal this cycle. On Tuesday night, one of those former Gamecocks announced a new college commitment.

Redshirt sophomore O’Mega Blake posted to social media Tuesday that he’ll transfer to East Carolina.

Blake had his best season as a Gamecock this season with 19 catches for 250 yards and a touchdown. He also was voted Most Improved Player, along with Dakereon Joyner, after the spring.

The team’s top returning receiver is Luke Doty, who began his career as a quarterback and caught 13 passes in 2023.

Blake was a three-star prospect coming out of South Pointe High School in Rock Hill when he signed with the Gamecocks.

He was one of five USC receivers to enter the transfer portal once 2023 wrapped up. He joins Juice Wells (Ole Miss) in announcing a new college home.
