Signing day surprise: 4-star Damola Ajidahun flips from Georgia Tech to Gamecocks
Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks added Top 250 national recruit on Wednesday’s signing day. And they did it by pulling away a member of Georgia Tech’s recruiting class.
Damola Ajidahun announced he was signing with the South Carolina football program. He had been committed to the Yellow Jackets since early August.
Shane Beamer teased the news via X shortly before Ajidahun’s public decision, saying: “NOT DONE !!!!!! A BIG-Time call this afternoon.”
The 247Sports Composite, which factors in all recruiting rankings, considers Ajidahun a four-star recruit and the nation’s No. 201 overall prospect.
He joins Shedrick Sarratt as offensive linemen in South Carolina’s class.
