50 Opinions, Day 33: Between now and the season-opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3, we will ask 50 people: “What do you think about the Gamecocks in 2015?” We’re counting down the days until kickoff. Today’s panelist is Rick Neuheisel, CBS analyst and former coach at UCLA, Washington and Colorado:

“I’m a believer in Steve Spurrier, which means I believe in the work they have done to put it forward. I know his ability to coach young quarterbacks. There are a lot of quarterback question marks in the league. I would put South Carolina as the one I am least worried about because I know who is coaching them. The quarterback position is being dumbed down in college football because they are not asking them to do things, they are just asking them to go fast. I think Steve is one of those quarterback coaches who is going to teach the game the way it ought to be taught. It’s a valuable resource when your quarterback knows what is going on.”
