In-state defensive lineman leaving South Carolina football program
Another South Carolina football player is headed to the transfer portal.
Defensive end Elijah Davis is entering the transfer portal, a school spokesman confirmed. 247Sports and On3 were the first to report the news.
Davis is the 14th player to announce he is leaving the program. He played in just one game this season after playing in six last season with six tackles.
Davis came to USC in 2023 after spending two seasons at East Mississippi Community College. He was rated No. 2 nationally on the 2023 ESPN JUCO 50.
He played high school football in the state at Wagener-Salley.
