South Carolina is losing a member of its offensive line.

Veteran offensive lineman Aaryn Parks is entering the transfer portal, a school spokesperson told The State on Tuesday. 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and On3 Sports’ Pete Nakos were the first to report the news.

Parks didn’t appear in any games last season for the Gamecocks as a fifth-year after transferring in from Oklahoma and has one year of eligibility remaining. He is a graduate transfer so he can enter the portal at any time.

Parks is the 17th Gamecock to enter the transfer portal as of Tuesday.

Parks committed to USC last year to play for Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks. Beamer recruited Parks out of high school when he was an assistant with the Sooners.

Parks was ranked as a four-star prospect coming out of high school in Maryland. He had offers from Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Penn State, among others. He originally committed to Penn State before changing it to Oklahoma.

Parks appeared in eight games during his four seasons at Oklahoma from 2020-23 and primarily repped at tackle for South Carolina in the spring.
