Radio host: Nine wins a reasonable goal for USC
50 Opinions, Day 31: Between now and the season-opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3, we will ask 50 people: “What do you think about the Gamecocks in 2015?” We’re counting down the days until kickoff. Today’s panelist is Jimmy Hyams, Knoxville, Tenn., sports radio host:
“I have debated whether they are closer to winning 11 or seven. I think they are right in the middle. I think they’ll win nine. Obviously, their defense last year let them down, and I’ve got to figure they are going to be better on defense. And knowing the competitor Steve Spurrier is, I think nine wins is a reasonable goal for South Carolina.”
