George Rogers: ‘Our defense is going to do real good’
50 Opinions, Day 28: Between now and the season-opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3, we will ask 50 people: “What do you think about the Gamecocks in 2015?” We’re counting down the days until kickoff. Today’s panelist is George Rogers, USC Heisman Trophy-winning running back:
“I think our defense is going to do real good. I am looking forward to it. I think we had some issue on our defense we didn’t do a good job on last year, but we had an awful young team. When Jadeveon Clowney left, it really left us in a hole. We just had to rebuild, and I think we have had some time to do that. I think Coach (Steve Spurrier) is going to do real good. He’s a guy that works real hard. We have to remember coach hasn’t had a losing season since he’s been here.”
