USC QB Watch: Everybody’s equal through 3 days
More of the same, which is to be expected. Can’t find out much when they’re not in full pads and it’s only the third day.
“They all threw a lot of good ones in there,” coach Steve Spurrier said on Thursday. “They all do some good work.”
The quarterback competition remains wide-open. South Carolina is set to hold seven more practices before a public viewing, when the first scrimmage takes place on Aug. 15.
All of the quarterbacks said on Wednesday that they’re on equal ground, each getting the same amount of reps and nobody thinking they’re ahead. Spurrier says the same.
“They’ve all studied pretty hard, sort of know where to do it,” he said. “Obviously, we get in the team period and the protection’s not quite as good and we don’t look as good. Got to get pass protection solidified.”
