Just days ahead of South Carolina Garnet & Black spring game, South Carolina cornerback Emory Floyd is reportedly set to enter the transfer portal.

Per On3 Sports Hayes Fawcett, the South Carolina redshirt junior said he would be hitting the portal with two years of eligibility remaining. The spring transfer portal window doesn’t officially open until Wednesday.

In his three years with the Gamecocks, the former four-star prospect out of Georgia appeared in just seven games but did not make a start.

Last year, he was competing for a starting corner spot during fall camp but a hamstring injury limited him almost the entire season.

With Floyd gone, South Carolina still has a solid cornerback room that includes Judge Collier, Vicari Swain and NC State transfer Brandon Cisse.
