USC QB Watch: Spurrier: ‘They were all so-so’

No quarterback has separated himself yet.

“They were all so-so, pretty good at times, nothing too special, I don’t think,” coach Steve Spurrier said of his quarterbacks after Tuesday’s practice.

There’s no real deadline. South Carolina will begin focusing on North Carolina two weeks before Sept. 3. Now’s the time to get everybody ready for the overall season.

So the Gamecocks’ four QBs will keep repping.

“Lot of them had a pretty good day yesterday,” Spurrier said. “Connor Mitch had a good day yesterday, pretty good one today. Perry (Orth) threw some good ones.”
