A look at former Gamecocks on NFL rosters as training camps begin

All 32 NFL teams kicked off their respective training camps this week across the country.

Former Gamecocks are peppered across the rosters of the entire league at the start of training camp. As of Wednesday, there are 37 former South Carolina players listed on training camp rosters.

The Carolina Panthers have the most former Gamecocks on their roster with five. South Carolina is represented in each division of the league and each team in the AFC East, AFC West and NFC East has a former Gamecock on the roster.

The slate of NFL preseason games start July 31 with the Hall of Fame game between the Chargers and Lions on July 31. The regular season kicks off on Sept. 4 with a game between the Cowboys and Eagles.

Here’s where you can find former Gamecocks this summer, along with how they got there:

Buffalo Bills

DL TJ Sanders: Sanders was drafted with the 41st overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Bills. Sanders signed a four-year, $10.645 million deal that has $10.073 million of it guaranteed, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Miami Dolphins

DL Alex “Boogie” Huntley: Huntley went undrafted in April but signed a free0agent deal with the Dolphins shortly after the end of the draft.

DB Cam Smith: Smith is entering his third season in the NFL after being drafted in the second round of the 2023 draft. He played 15 games his rookie season but just six games last year because of injury.

New England Patriots

DB Marcellas Dial: Dial enters his second year in the NFL after he was taken in the sixth round of the 2024 draft. Dial played in 17 games for the Patriots, starting one last season.

New York Jets

P Kai Kroeger: Kroeger went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft but signed with the Jets in May.

Cincinnati Bengals

LB Demetrius Knight: Knight was drafted with the 49th overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Bengals. Knight signed a four-year deal with nearly 80% of it fully guaranteed, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Knight’s deal with worth just over $9 million, per Spotrac.

Cleveland Browns

WR Gage Larvadain: Larvadain went undrafted in the 2025 draft but signed a free-agent deal with the Browns.

Jacksonville Jaguars

OL Dennis Daley: Daley was drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He did not play in a game last season after he was released by Arizona in August. He signed to the Jaguars practice squad in November and then signed a futures contract with the team in January.

Denver Broncos

TE Nate Adkins: Adkins is entering his third year in the NFL after signing with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Last season, he started 10 of the 17 games for Denver and caught 14 passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns.

OL Nick Gargiulo: Gargiulo went undrafted in 2024 and signed with the Broncos. He spent most of rookie year on Denver’s practice squad and signed a futures contract with the team in January.

Kansas City Chiefs

DB Darius Rush: Rush was selected by Indianapolis in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL draft. He was eventually waived and picked by Kansas City’s practice squad. The Pittsburgh Steelers poached him from the Chiefs’ practice squad in October 2023 and kept him on the team until he was waived in October 2024. Rush returned to the Chiefs’ practice squad a few days later and he signed a futures contract with Kansas City in January.

Las Vegas Raiders

DL Tonka Hemingway: Hemingway was selected with the 135th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Raiders. Hemingway reportedly signed a four-year, $4.87 million deal that included a $666K signing bonus.

Los Angeles Chargers

WR Dalevon Campbell: Campbell went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft but signed with the Chargers in May.

LB Kyle Kennard: Kenndard was selected with the 125th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Chargers. Kennard’s contract is worth $5.1 million over four years, per Spotrac.

RB Raheim “Rocket” Sanders: Sanders went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft but signed with the Chargers in May. Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said Sanders was dealing with an injury on Tuesday and could be sidelined for a week.

Dallas Cowboys

WR Jalen Brooks: Brooks is entering his third year in the league after being selected in the seventh round of the 2023 draft by Dallas. Brooks had 177 receiving yards last year for the Cowboys.

DB Israel Mukuamu: Mukuamu was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Cowboys. He’s played in 50 games across the last four seasons for Dallas and signed a one-year extension with the team in May. Mukuamu’s deal is worth $1.75 million, per Spotrac.

New York Giants

DB O’Donell Fortune: Fortune went undrafted in the 2025 draft but signed a free-agent deal with the Giants.

RB Dante Miller: Miller signed as an undrafted free agent with the Giants in 2024 and spent most of the season on the practice squad. He signed to the active roster in January.

Philadelphia Eagles

TE Nick Muse: Muse was selected by the Vikings in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He spent most of last season, his third in the league, on injured reserve and the Vikings’ practice squad. Muse was signed to the Eagles practice squad in January and signed a futures contract with the team in February.

Washington Commanders

DL Javon Kinlaw: Kinlaw enters his sixth season in the NFL this year. He played for the New York Jets last season after spending the previous four with the San Francisco 49ers. Kinlaw signed a three-year $45 million deal ($30 million of which is guaranteed) with the Commanders this offseason, per Ian Rapoport.

WR Deebo Samuel: Samuel is now in his seventh season as a pro. He spent the last six years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers and was traded to Washington this offseason.

Chicago Bears

DL Zacch Pickens: Pickens is now in his third season with the Bears after the team selected him in the third round of the 2023 draft.

Green Bay Packers

DL Kingsley Enagbare: Enagbare is entering his fourth season with the Packers after they drafted him in 2022.

DB Keisean Nixon: Nixon is entering his seventh year in the NFL and fourth with Green Bay.

Minnesota Vikings

OL Vershon Lee: Lee went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft but was signed by the Vikings back in June.

Atlanta Falcons

OL Jovaughn Gwyn: Gwyn has played in two games for the Falcons since being drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 draft. He signed a futures contract with Atlanta in January.

TE Josh Simon: Lee went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft but signed a free-agent deal with the Falcons in April.

Carolina Panthers

RB Rico Dowdle: Dowdle spent the first four seasons of his career with the Dallas Cowboys but signed a one-year deal with the Panthers this offseason that’s worth up to $6.25 million, per Ian Rapoport.

DB Jaycee Horn: Horn capped off the fourth year of his career with his first Pro Bowl honors last season. He signed a four-year extension worth $100 million with $70 million guaranteed this offseason, per Ian Rapoport. The deal makes him the highest-paid defensive back in the NFL.

WR Xavier Legette: Legette is entering his second season in the pros after recording 497 receiving yards during his rookie year.

LB Bam Martin-Scott: Martin-Scott went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft but signed a free-agent deal with the Panthers in April.

LB DJ Wonnum: Wonnum is entering his sixth year in the NFL and second with the Panthers. He played the first four years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings.

New Orleans Saints

QB Spencer Rattler: This will be Rattler’s second year in the NFL and with the Saints. New Orleans drafted him in the fifth round of the 2024 draft and he made six starts for the team last season. He threw for 1,317 yards and four touchdowns.

Rattler is expected to compete for starting quarterback job with rookie Tyler Shough and took first-team reps in the Saints’ practice Wednesday.

OL Torricelli Simpkins: Simpkins signed with the Saints in April after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Seattle Seahawks

DB Nick Emmanwori: Emmanwori was taken with the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Seahawks signed him to a fully-guaranteed contract, making him the first player in NFL history drafted at No. 35 overall to receive a fully guaranteed rookie contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Emmanwori’s deal is worth $11.6 million over four years, per Spotrac.

LB Ernest Jones: The former third round pick was traded to the Seahawks mid-season last year after singing with the Tennessee Titans. Jones re-signed with the Seahawks this offseason on a three-year, $33 million deal that had $15 million guaranteed, per Ian Rapoport. Jones started his career with the Los Angeles Rams where he won a Super Bowl in his rookie season.
