The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman released his annual “Freaks List” on Monday for the 2025 season. Feldman has used the list for 20 years to document the “strongest, fastest and most physical players” in college football.

For the third year in a row, Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks have landed someone on the list.

Wide receiver Nyck Harbor checks in at No. 3 on this year’s Freaks List.

“The junior evolved into more of a weapon in the offense in 2024, catching 26 passes for 376 yards and three touchdowns,” Feldman wrote. “He has a rare combination of size and sprinter speed. Harbor is bigger than many college defensive ends but is faster than almost every receiver in college football. He topped out at 23.6 mph on the GPS.”

Harbor ranked No. 1 on the Freaks List in 2023 and 2024, making him the first to achieve the feat in back-to-back years. This year he’s behind Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith and Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor in the rankings.

Feldman noted that Harbor’s body fat this offseason was 5 percent.

South Carolina’s starting quarterback also made the list.

LaNorris Sellers is ranked No. 33 (out of 101) on the Freaks List, making him the highest-ranked quarterback on the list. Sellers is coming off a year where he earned Freshman All-American honors and was named the SEC Freshman of the Year by the leagues coaches.

“In his first season as a starter, the former three-star recruit took the sport by storm,” Feldman wrote. “At 6-3, 245 pounds, Sellers measured in with just seven percent body fat this offseason. He squatted 555 pounds and hit 22 mph on the GPS. And his coaches say he’s just scratching the surface of how good he can be.”

Clemson lands one on Freaks List

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers were represented on the Freaks List as well. Junior defensive lineman Peter Woods checked in at No. 5 on the list.

“The 6-3 20-year-old is quite the physical Freak, ranking in the top five on the team in muscle mass when he arrived as a true freshman in 2023. His latest body composition scans prior to camp showed that 240 of his 310 pounds are lean muscle mass. He’s a rare combination of power and speed for a 300-plus pounder.”

Feldman noted Woods bench pressed 490 pounds and squatted 700 pounds this offseason while also recording a 4.86 40-yard dash.

“Don’t be surprised if Woods ends up as a top-5 NFL Draft pick when he leaves Clemson,” Feldman wrote. “He’s special.”
