South Carolina football a home underdog to Oklahoma in first betting line
South Carolina is projected to be a slight underdog when the Gamecocks return home next weekend.
The Gamecocks will play Oklahoma on Oct. 18 in Williams-Brice Stadium. Oklahoma opened as a 3.5-point favorite over South Carolina, according to the VegasInsider consensus.
As of Sunday morning, FanDuel has Oklahoma listed as a 4.5-point favorite over South Carolina while DraftKings has the Sooners as a 3.5-point favorite. More major sportsbooks are likely to add odds on the game throughout the day.
Both South Carolina and Oklahoma are 3-1 against the spread this year.
South Carolina and Oklahoma have played just once before in program history, that game was last year. The Gamecocks were slight favorites and ultimately won 35-9 on the road.
The Gamecocks and Sooners are both coming off SEC losses this weekend. South Carolina lost to LSU 20-10 and Oklahoma lost to Texas 23-6. South Carolina is 3-3 with a 1-3 SEC record while Oklahoma dropped to 5-1 (1-1 SEC) with its first loss of the season.
