Three South Carolina football players were suspended for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma, Shane Beamer told reporters after the Sooners’ 26-7 win over the Gamecocks.

Transfer defensive lineman Davonte Miles, freshman receiver Brian Rowe and freshman edge rusher Anthony Addison were all suspended for “a violation of team standards,” Beamer said.

He did not reveal what exactly happened to bring on the suspension.

“I made that decision,” Beamer said. “Accountability is a core value of our program.”

Miles and Addison combined for four total tackles this season. Addison has appeared in just two games this season.

Rowe was the biggest impact of three missing players. He’s recorded 10 catches for 89 yards and a touchdown, playing in all six games this season.

“Disappointed for them, disappointing for us. Selfish decisions that certainly affected our team today because we needed them. They’re good kids that will learn from this, hopefully, and respond the right way. I would anticipate that they’ll be back next week.”
