Gamecock Club’s Patrick McFarland: Enjoy the ride
Between now and the season-opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3, we will ask 50 people: “What do you think about the Gamecocks in 2015?” We’re counting down the days until kickoff. Today’s panelist is Patrick McFarland, executive director of the Gamecock Club:
“I think we are going to continue to experience success, and I say continue because we are still, in my opinion, in the most successful period of Gamecock football ever. Three 11-win seasons in a row and then last year winning seven and beating Florida and Georgia. Four straight bowl wins. Growing up, I never would have imagined we would beat Nebraska, Michigan, Wisconsin and Miami all in a row (in bowl games). I’m just going to continue to enjoy the ride.”
