South Carolina is losing another starting offensive lineman to the portal.

On Friday evening, CBS Sports’ Chris Hummer and others reported that Gamecocks right tackle Cason Henry will enter the transfer portal when it opens on Jan. 2.

Henry, a former three-star prospect from Marietta, Georgia, started all 13 games at right tackle for South Carolina in 2024 and started the first four games of the 2025 season before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury against Missouri.

Among offensive linemen with at least 100 snaps, Henry was the Gamecocks’ top-rated run and pass blocker, per Pro Football Focus’ analysis.

Henry becomes the seventh scholarship player at South Carolina to announce their intentions to hit the portal, joining: TE Michael Smith, DL Zavion Hardy, LB Jaron Willis, OL Nick Sharpe, WR Brian Rowe Jr. and OL Trovon Baugh — who started 11 games for USC this season at right guard.
