South Carolina is losing one of its top wide receivers to the transfer portal.

Per On3 Sports’ Pete Nakos, Gamecocks WR Vandrevius Jacobs will transfer. He’s the 14th scholarship Gamecocks who’s expected to enter the portal when if officially opens Friday.

Jacobs transferred to South Carolina ahead of the 2024 season and played sparingly in year one. But he broke out in 2025, catching a team-high 32 passes for 548 yards and four touchdowns. For most of the season, the redshirt sophomore was South Carolina’s No. 2 pass catcher, behind only Nyck Harbor.

Jacobs is the second South Carolina starting receiver to announce their plans to enter the transfer portal, joining freshman Brian Rowe Jr. The departures likely mean that Gamecocks head coach Shane Beamer and WRs coach Mike Furrey will try and add a few pass catchers via the portal.
