South Carolina football adds another transfer offensive lineman
South Carolina football is not done adding to its 2026 roster.
Stetson offensive lineman Vincent Chen committed to Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks on Saturday. Chen’s commitment comes after a recent visit to the school. The school announced Chen’s arrival on its social media pages.
Chen will have two years of eligibility left for the Gamecocks. He is the ninth offensive lineman added through the transfer portal. Auburn and Vanderbilt were among the other teams to show interest in Chen.
The 6-foot-7, 350-pound Chen appeared in 19 games (15 starts) in two seasons at Stetson, which is a Football Championship Subdivision school. He was late in getting into football and didn’t play until his senior season of high school.
