McCrarey: This will be a USC team on the uptick rather than on the decline
Between now and the season-opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3, we will ask 50 people: “What do you think about the Gamecocks in 2015?” We’re counting down the days until kickoff. Today’s panelist is Kevin McCrarey, co-host of “SportsTalk,” which airs on The POINT (WQXL, 95.9 FM and 1470 AM):
“I definitely think the 2015 Gamecocks are going to be an improved team over the 2014 Gamecocks. The defense from a personnel standpoint most importantly is going to be be better. The scheme should be better, too, with Jon Hoke helping to tighten some things up. Top to bottom, I see a team that is going to better, but there are still a ton of questions. From a wins and losses standpoint, I could see them being around the same place they were, but I think fans will see a team that is on the uptick again rather than being a team that looked like, last year, they were on the decline.”
