Wesley Green transfers from USC to Indiana

Wesley Green, who transferred from South Carolina a week into fall camp, will enroll at Indiana, the Hoosiers announced Monday.

“Coach Brandon Shelby has a strong relationship with him and he contacted us when he left South Carolina," Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson said in a statement. "We welcome him to our program. He's a talented young man and he will be a quality contributor."”

Green was a four-star prospect out of Lithonia, Ga., when he signed with the Gamecocks in 2014. He redshirted last season. He will have to sit out this season at Indiana per NCAA transfer rules.

“It was mutually decided that Wesley needs a fresh start,” South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier said on Aug. 10.
