Between now and the season-opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3, we will ask 50 people: “What do you think about the Gamecocks in 2015?” We’re counting down the days until kickoff. Today’s panelist is Jay Philips, 107.5 The Game radio host:

“My buzz word all year has been ‘intriguing.’ I just think are so many unknowns. You look at the schedule. You look at a new defensive coordinator. Who is going to back up Pharoh Cooper? Who is going to back up Connor Mitch? I feel like sometimes I know enough about them or the sport to say they should do this or they could do that, but with the exception of The Citadel game and the Vanderbilt game, they could lose every other game they play and they could win every other game they play. Now, they won’t lose all of those and they won’t win all of those. I just don’t know what to anticipate because I think there are so many unanswered questions and I’m not even sure that the first three games will answer all that.”
