North Carolina’s offense, which averaged 33.2 points per game in 2014, scored 0 in the second half against South Carolina. The Gamecocks did not shut out an opponent for a half all of last season.

The Gamecocks had five different players take a snap at quarterback- Connor Mitch, Perry Orth, Pharoh Cooper, Brandon Wilds and David Williams. Punter Sean Kelly also had an offensive snap, running for 17 yards on a fake punt.

South Carolina rushed for 254 yards, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Senior Shon Carson led the way with four rushes for 75 yards.

South Carolina sacked UNC quarterback Marquise Williams four times. USC did not record its fourth sack until the fourth game of the 2014 season against Vanderbilt.

USC Linebacker Skai Moore picked off Williams twice, both times in the end zone. Moore’s picks came on UNC’s first and last drives of the game.
