Skip Holtz might coach again in Williams-Brice
Skip Holtz will coach in Williams-Brice Stadium again. At least, he will if he’s still Louisiana Tech’s head coach in two seasons.
South Carolina has finalized a contract that will bring Holtz and the Bulldogs to Columbia for a non-conference game on Sept. 23, 2017. Louisiana Tech will receive $1 million for the game.
Holtz was the Gamecocks’ assistant head coach from 1999-2004, the years his father, Lou, was the head coach of the team. South Carolina is 4-0-1 all-time against the Bulldogs.
The Gamecocks also will host Wofford in 2017 in a Nov. 18 game. The Terriers will come back for a 2022 game and will receive a total of $735,000 for the two games.
That makes three known non-conference games for USC in 2017, including the annual showdown with Clemson.
