Texas A&M students helping with SC flood relief
Texas A&M’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee spearheaded a fundraiser to help victims of the flooding in South Carolina. The Aggies SAAC, along with the 12th Man Student Foundation, will be selling 12th Man towels for $5 and all proceeds will go to South Carolina.
“Just like family, you love to beat your brother in competitions, but you have his back if ever needed,” said Texas A&M athletics director Eric Hyman.
The white flags will have the word “TOGETHER” written on them and an outline of the state of South Carolina will be in place of the letter “O”.
“As Aggies, we hold true to a set of core values and among them is selfless service,” said SAAC president Kelli Benjamin, a Texas A&M swimmer. “Our thoughts and prayers have been with the people of South Carolina and this is a small way in which we can try and help their relief efforts.”
