South Carolina’s Shawn Elliott: I’m not quitting
South Carolina’s 23-22 defeat at the hands of The Citadel created the usual social media firestorm a Gamecocks loss produces, and then some.
One fake news tweet that suggested Shawn Elliott was resigning as USC’s coach was picked up by at least one national sports website and reported it, at least for a little while, as fact.
Not so fast, Elliott said via Twitter.
Quitting??? You've got to be kidding me....Get yourselves ready for one hell of a fight next week. I'll never quit on anything or anyone.
