South Carolina-Clemson ‘SC Strong’ halftime named among best of the year
When the South Carolina and Clemson bands came together for their “SC Strong” halftime show during the Palmetto Bowl, there’s little doubt it left an impression on those in attendance.
Between the tragedy in Charleston and devastating flooding, the year has been nothing if not trying across the state.
On Saturday, NCAA.com listed that performance as one of “The best halftime shows of 2015.” Only five shows made the list, including a Star Wars medley from Southern California, members of the New York Philharmonic joining Michigan’s band and Southern University’s Human Jukebox.
“Clemson-South Carolina is obviously a huge rivalry,” NCAA.com’s Eric Vander Voort wrote. “But in the wake of the destructive flooding the state of South Carolina endured in October, the bands came together for this awesome show of unity.”
