Alshon Jeffery put on IR by Bears
A tough season came to a close early for former South Carolina wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.
The Chicago Bears announced they’d put Jeffery on injured reserve after he missed the team’s last game with a hamstring injury. He’ll finish the season having missed seven games with a variety of ailments.

He remained productive, hauling in 54 passes for 807 yards and four scores. He was coming off consecutive seasons with 85 or more catches and at least 1,100 yards.
The fourth-year pass catcher is projected to be one of the top free agents available in the coming offseason.
