Skai Moore’s future with Gamecocks not settled
The door is open for junior linebacker Skai Moore to return to South Carolina’s football team next season, first-year head coach Will Muschamp said Monday.
Moore, the Gamecocks’ leading tackler the last three seasons, had decided to give up his final season of eligibility and enter the 2016 NFL Draft, according to a source with the knowledge of the situation, but he is rethinking the decision and talking to Muschamp about the possibility of returning.
“He and I have had some very good conversations, and we’re still in the middle of that process,” Muschamp said.
Moore, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound Florida native, had 258 tackles in the last three seasons. His 110 stops in 2015 were the most by a South Carolina player since Jonathan Martin had 122 in 2002.
Moore’s name has been removed from the roster on the USC’s website.
