South Carolina had two members of its recruiting class named Parade All-Americans, it was announced Friday.

Running back Rico Dowdle, who signed with the Gamecocks on Wednesday, was named to the first-team offense as an athlete. Quarterback Brandon McIlwain, who is already enrolled at USC, earned honorable mention honors as an athlete.

Dowdle played quarterback at A.C. Reynolds High School in Asheville this past season, rushing for 2,545 yards and 51 touchdowns and passing for 1,434 yards and 11 scores. He added a touchdown reception.

McIlwain, who is also playing baseball for the Gamecocks, threw for 1,646 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushed for 1,341 yards and 27 scores as a senior.

Both have a chance to play early in their careers at South Carolina.
