Muschamp, Gamecocks set spring football practice schedule

South Carolina football, under first-year coach Will Muschamp, released its spring practice schedule on Tuesday.

The Gamecocks are slated to open spring drills on Tuesday, March 15, and conclude with the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game on Saturday, April 9.

In addition to the spring game, two of the spring practice sessions will be open to the public. Those open sessions will be on Tuesday, March 29, and Thursday, March 31.

The weekday sessions will take place at the new practice fields, located at the west end of Gamecock Park, beginning at 4:30 p.m. If inclement weather should arise, the practices may be moved into the new indoor practice facility. All dates and times are subject to change.

All fans and media attending the practice sessions at the practice fields are asked to stay behind the yellow rope. Parking will be available in Gamecock Park with access off National Guard Road. Video photography will be allowed during the flex (stretch) and first three periods only.

As was the case in prior years, players will not be available for autographs before, during or after the practice sessions. Pets are not permitted on the practice fields.

Practice 9: Tuesday, March 29, 4:30 pm (Pads) – OPEN PRACTICE

Practice 10: Thursday, March 31, 4:30 pm (Pads) – OPEN PRACTICE

Practice 11: Saturday, April 2, 11:30 am (Pads – Scrimmage No. 2)
