Bowl projections: Make your plans for a USC vs. FSU matchup
Want to make early plans to watch South Carolina play in a bowl game this year?
CampusInsiders.com has some help. The site is predicting that the Gamecocks will play against Florida State in the Belk Bowl, which will be played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte at a date to be determined. The game, televised by ESPN, annually features an SEC team against an ACC team.
Campus Insiders, in its recently published post-spring practice bowl projections, says 12 of the 14 SEC teams will go to bowls.
The Gamecocks, under new coach Will Muschamp, are coming off a 3-9 season. Missouri, also with a first-year coach, is projected to return to post-season play. Only Kentucky and Vanderbilt are left out.
The site projects LSU to play Ohio State for the national championship. Tennessee and Alabama are projected to receive New Year’s Six bids.
