Top JUCO signee Jamarcus King enrolls at South Carolina

After a little trepidation, Jamarcus King has arrived on campus at South Carolina.

The school confirmed the junior college cornerback, the top JUCO prospect in the country for the 2016 cycle was on campus and enrolled Friday. Coach Will Muschamp told media a few days earlier at the SEC meetings he'd been delayed and might miss the start of the first summer session.

“Just a formality. No big deal. He’ll be fine,” Muschamp said

The 6-foot-1 King is expected to shore up a Gamecocks secondary in desperate need of top-end talent. He had 37 tackles with six tackles for loss, three interceptions and 10 passes defended at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College last season and specialized in physical press coverage.
