What’s your hometown known for?

I would say Greenwood High School, just the tradition of football. And we have a yearly barbecue festival that’s pretty good.

Favorite thing about Columbia?

I would just have to say the environment. It’s a good feeling and a great vibe. There’s always something to do.

Favorite restaurant in Columbia?

It would have to be D’s Wings or Grilled Teriyaki. One of those two.

Funniest player on the team?

Taylor Stallworth

Do you hate Clemson?

I mean yeah, it’s a really big rivalry.

Where would you have gone if not South Carolina?

Probably Auburn.

Favorite uniform combination?

Probably the white on garnet.

What’s your hometown known for?

Producing athletes

Favorite thing about Columbia?

Other than football, the food.

Favorite restaurant in Columbia?

Kiki’s Chicken and Waffles

Funniest player on the team?

Taylor Stallworth or Toure Boyd. Both of them are.

Favorite uniform combination?

All black.

Favorite thing about Columbia?

The riverwalk

Favorite restaurant in Columbia?

Blue Marlin

Funniest player on the team?

Quarterback-wise it would be Perry. He’s pretty funny.

Do you hate Clemson?

I guess I’ve got to say yeah.

Favorite tradition at USC?

When they play sandstorm in the middle of the game it’s pretty cool.

Favorite uniform combination?

The all black.

Elliott Fry (Sr., K, of Frisco, Texas)

What’s your hometown known for?

It’s a good city. There are a lot of good people there.

Favorite thing about Columbia?

Honestly, Gamecock football. I think it’s the whole stadium, the whole atmosphere, I think that’s probably my favorite thing.

Favorite restaurant in Columbia?

I’m a big fan of Old Chicago, the pizza place in the Vista.

Funniest player on the team?

I’d have to either go with myself or Taylor Stallworth.

Best tradition at USC?

I think 2001 would be up there. It’s really exciting.

The all black.

Do you hate Clemson?

I mean you have to. Yeah, I never really liked them.

Boosie Whitlow (So., DL, Opelika, Ala.)

What’s your hometown known for?

We’re known for being good in football, a 6-A powerhouse Opelika. It’s a great place.

Favorite thing about Columbia?

The people in Columbia are great. They’re not stuck up people. I like being around the people around here. They make me feel at home.

Favorite restaurant in Columbia?

Ruth’s Chris Steak House

Funniest player on the team?

Marquavius Lewis. He likes to make fun of me and mocks the way that I talk.

Do you hate Clemson?

Of course. Any rival, I hate them.

Favorite tradition at USC?

I love everything, from the university to the campus. I would want my kids to be a part of this school.

Favorite uniform combination?

Garnet and white. That’s the one I got my first sack in.

Kelsey Griffin (Sr., DL, Buford, Ga.)

What’s your hometown known for?

Probably the Pop Warner football. It’s very big, from little league all the way up to high school in my county, so I enjoy that a lot.

Favorite thing about Columbia?

The atmosphere during the games, it’s just exciting. You don’t get to go to many places like that. It’s unique. The Columbia area is unique when it comes to game day.

Favorite restaurant in Columbia?

Miyabi Japanese Steakhouse

Funniest player on the team?

Marquavius Lewis. He’s hilarious. You wouldn’t think so because he’s soft spoken, but he’s a funny guy.

Do you hate Clemson?

Oh yeah. I have to.

Favorite tradition at USC?

Sandstorm and the game day atmosphere. It hasn’t changed whether we were 3-9 or 11-2.

Favorite uniform combination?

I like the all white.

What’s your hometown known for?

Having athletes in all sports

Favorite thing about Columbia?

I love the heat. I like that it’s hot year round.

Do you hate Clemson?

No comment.

Best tradition at USC?

It’s definitely the game day entrance and kickoffs.

Favorite thing about Columbia?

I would have to say throughout the whole year how all of the fans still see you and come up and talk to you and want to get to know you. Basically the fans are the best thing.

Favorite restaurant in Columbia?

Michael’s restaurant, right by the mayor’s office

Funniest player on the team?

People wouldn’t think it, but I’m going to say Qua (Lewis). You wouldn’t expect Qua to be that kind of person because he’s so quiet and to himself, but when you get to know Qua he’ll open up to you and he’s very funny.

Do you hate Clemson?

Uh, yes.

Best tradition at USC?

I’m going to have to say coming out to 2001 because it sends chills through your body.

If not South Carolina, where would you have gone?

My top three schools were here, Oregon and Mississippi State, so I would have to say it’s a toss up between Oregon and Mississippi State.
