Elliott Fry, Mason Zandi make preseason coaches All-SEC teams
Two Gamecocks made the cut for the coaches preseason All-SEC football teams.
Kicker Elliott Fry was on the second team, splitting the spot with Alabama’s Adam Griffith. Offensive tackle Mason Zandi was on the third-team offensive line, which did not include centers.
Fry has been USC’s kicker every game over the past three seasons. He is second in career points with 289 and went 20-of-28 on field goals in 2015. Elliott was a 2014 second-team All-SEC selection by the league's coaches.
Zandi, a 6-foot-9, 315-pound senior from Chapin, is slated to play the left tackle position this season after starting 10 games a year ago at right tackle. One of the leaders of the offense, Zandi developed his skills from being a lightly recruited two-star prospect.
Alamaba and LSU each had 13 players on the teams.
